With more than 33 years of experience in counseling tax and financial planning clients, Richard K. Lichtman is the founder of the firm. From 1978 to 1984, Rick served as a Tax Supervisor in the Newark, NJ and Boston, MA offices of the accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand, where he helped develop a financial planning practice for high net worth individuals. From 1984-1986, he served as a Tax Manager for Executive Monetary Management, Inc., a financial planning firm in New York City representing a wide range of clients including financial industry executives, real estate developers, multi-generational family groups and executives in the entertainment industry. From 1986-2000, Rick was a partner in the Boston law firm of Flowers and Lichtman where he developed long term relationships with high net worth family groups—many of which last to this day.
In 2000, Rick moved his practice to Wellesley under the name of “The Law Office of Richard K. Lichtman,” where he has continued to provide state-of-the-art tax and financial planning to an ever growing client base. In addition to his law degree from Temple University, Rick holds an LL.M. in taxation from Boston University and an M.B.A. from Boston College. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1979. Rick is a member of the Real Property, Trust & Estate Section of the American Bar Association as well as a member of the Taxation Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association. Rick lives in Needham, is married, and has two adult children.
